Abstract

The paper elaborated geopolitical circumstances on the continent of Europe after World War II. World War II that led to the first form of institutional, economic and political integration of the West - European countries. Integration processes in the second half of the 20th century led to the creation of the European Union as a sui generis creation or supranational forms of interstate cooperation residencies founded on shared democratic values and contracts regulated rights and obligations. Integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the European Union takes place in a complex internal and external circumstances polity built the Dayton Peace Agreement. The paper problematizes key political aspects obstacle to Bosnia and Herzegovina in achieving full membership in the European Union, particularly in the context of the crisis of the European Union and relations with the new expansion.
