Abstract

Public procurement planning and project management in the countries of Western Europe are standardized activities of contracting authorities. Unlike them, transitional countries, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, have only partly or very little followed these activities. Therefore, the paper presents a review of the main elements of the PMI project management methodology in a single life cycle of procurement, procedures, phases and risks, and how to apply this in the public procurement planning stage in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
