Abstract

The position of any state within international community as well as its international- legal subjectivity are defined by the attitude of its own statehood towards international law.As for the international law, it is entirely irrelevant what the system of goverment and internal legal structure of the state are like. Far more importance is given to the international-legal standards the state as a subject of international law applies, firstly, against its citizens and also against international community. Therefore, it is obvious that international legal order makes a clear distinction between international recognition of a certain state and its internal order and structure. In the case of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it seems, the significance both of those elements bear definitely has impact on its independence and future democratic development.
