Abstract

Transformation of social ownership and privatization is reality in the countries that are in transition and post-transitional period and by abandoning the socialist social system and system of social ownership, existing socio-legal and other relationships change and build a concept created by the rules of the new regulation.Transforming social ownership into state ownership requires change and other relationships in society where existing relationships are transformed, in line with new or cease existing. Those processes develop slowly.

Troubles caused by the specifics of the new arrangement in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is characterized by complex administarative system,  non harmonized legislative framework and political influence, aggravated by the complex process of compromising a new social and legal organization.

The work will illustrate the basic features and content of conversion of institute of social ownership and the basics of legislation underpinning the processes and procedures of privatization carried out in the field: the privatization of enterprises, housing, banks and used city construction land.
